DEYE backup power and solar systems

Since we have a vast experience in installing solar systems we decided that we will only install the best, the DEYE inverter, they are also the manufacturer of the SUNSYNK inverter.

Of all the installations we did, we have never had any warrantee claims on a DEYE inverter! It is a world class product!

These inverters are highly intelligent and offer what a real hybrid inverter should be able to do using all available sun energy and only the balance from the grid to save you on electrical consumption, plus these inverters can sell all the excess energy back to the grid. If you have the old conventional electrical meter in the street you will be able to reverse that meter during the day. If you have a smart meter then it will not be possible till a selling meter is installed from the municipality. When that will happen we are not sure.

This inverter uses a high voltage battery bank of 160 – 800V to reduce the current being used from battery bank. The charging current is then also at those voltages to bring the current down. This is a state of the art Hybrid inverter for big installations!

This is a 5kW DEYE inverter setup for backup power only hosting a 5.12kWh VOLTA lithium battery.

A system like this will have an IP65 rated surface mount DB which is the AC circuit of the system, it should consist

  3. A change over switch which will enable you to choose between solar system or ESKOM. 

If This surface mount DB is not mounted right next to the main DB then an extra circuit breaker should be installed inside the main DB with a warning sign.

This installation was done in Rhynfield. This customer will never have load shedding again, this is a small duplex flat and they have a gas stove and solar geyser installed as well.

Triston was a great referral and we did his bosse’s house in Meyerton as well.

A 5kW DEYE solar installation

This 5 kW DEYE installation with 1 x VOLTA 5.12kWh Lithium battery was installed in Kempton Park.

There was no other place to install it then in garage, but this is again ideal for a house hold that would like to power their essentails. 

This Hybrid Grid tied system reverse his electrical meter during the day, he also has one of the old meters using a disk and this customer nearly has no electrical bill per month.

A system like this should cost you around R95 000.

A 5kW DEYE Solar installation with 2 Lithium batteries

This Installation was also done at Marmanet retirement Village. 

As you can see this was also done in the garage since of space.

Allan Rankin also hardly pays for any electricity since the entire complex still have the old electrical mechanical electrical meters.

An Installation like this should cost you around R125 000.

5kW DEYE Solar system

Another 5kW DEYE solar installation done at Marmanet retirement village.

Pierre Eksteen is also enjoying a life free of any load shedding and very low electrical bills.

This is an investment that beats any other investment hand down. My one client told me that he is getting more out of his system then his investment at OLD Mutual.

Since we installed a DEYE Lithium battery with the DEYE inverter there will be a 10 year warrantee on the inverter as well.

These batteries are more expensive, but worth the extra 5 year warrantee on the inverter.

This 8kW installation was done in the basement of the house, Kobus is again one of our very satisfied customers.

Clint from Benoni had this system installed in Benoni, he was fedup with load shedding and now he can reverse his electrical meter as well.

He is now running a complete self sustainable house including water and electricity.

This is a typycal example where the client felt that a 8kW system will not be enough for him, he has 2 x 5kW DEYE inverters in parallel to give him 10kW.

Wayne lives in Benoni where they had continuous problems with load shedding and he has to travel a lot not wanting his wife and kids spending there time in darkness.

This client unfortunately does not have the luxury of enough space on his roof for solar panels, but he is very satisfied that his problem was also something of the pass. Load shedding with 3 girls in the house can be a challenge for any father!

In this case 9 panels were installed on his patio’s flat roof using the schletter flatroof angle brackets.

They are now free of the noice they had to face of their generator and neighbours that was complaining.

This is a 16kW single phase DEYE inverter setup with 10 x 550W solar panels.

We made provision for a third battery, it will be however neccesarry to install a third battery at some stage due to the current required from the underfloor heating. 

36kW DEYE 3 phase solar system

This 36kW 3 phase DEYE Solar system was installed at Blair Athol Estate.

This was quite a challenge since the angle of the roof and 45 degrees.

This system housing 3 x 12kW DEYE inverters, 15 Lithium batteries and 84 panels is strong enough to run that massive place completely of the grid.

Our next project with this client is for his training centre of the mine where we will use a 50kW inverter, 108 panels and high voltage battery banks. And then we will takle his mine which will be a 3MW plant, can not wait…

Industrial 3 phace solar systems

We all know magnets, a magnet only works on steel, not aluminum. Inside the induction stove is an electro magnet and the change of polarity at a high frequency causes friction between the molecules inside the steel when placed on this electro magnet which will cause a rapid temperature rise in the steel. The pot becomes the plate or element in this case and no energy loss will occur.

When you turn on a normal stove plate and place a pot/pan on it there is a massive energy lost because the pan/pot is not mounted 100% to the plate and then you still have to rely on the conductive properties on how quickly the pan will heat up before you can start cooking.  This is why cooking on a gas stove is more energy efficient than a traditional stove plate, but there is still some energy lost.
